Buick's current headquarters are located in Detroit, Michigan and the company was founded in the early 1900s. They have fast become a major competitor in the automotive industry, and are part of the General Motors Corporation. The company currently manufactures and sells a variety of automobiles in the United States, China, Israel, Taiwan as well as other areas of the world.
All Buicks sport the Trishield symbol: three distinctive shields next to one another, each of a different color, red, white and deep, dark blue respectively. The Trisheild design was based on a line up of cars manufactured in the 60's, and can now be seen on many of current manufactured vehicles. The shield, in part, is originally adapted from the family crest used to represent the ancestors of the Buick family and was first used by to represent them in '59.
