A vehicle that has successfully reached its third generation of production, the Audi A4 emerged on the automobile market in the early 1990s. Built with the personal preferences of the driver in mind, the A4 has been made available in a number of unique body styles and designs. The division of Audi that designs the A4 is part of the Volkswagen Group and the vehicle was first assembled in Ingolstadt, Germany. The predecessor of of it is the Audi 80 and the vehicle is classed as a luxury compact vehicle.
All A4s share some basic similarities in terms of their design: the vehicles have front located engines and are offered with either front wheel drive or all wheel drive. The first generation ran from '95 to 2000; the second from 2000 to 2005, and the third generation emerged in 2004. The most recent A4 models include a four-door saloon, the five-door estate car or the two-door convertible.
