Since 2006, a performance edition of the Cadillac STS has been available in the form of the Cadillac STS-V. The four-door, four passenger luxury sport sedan sports larger wheels (18-inch in front and 19-inch at the back); Brembo brakes; more brake ducts; larger front grille for enhanced airflow, as well as augments to style and aerodynamics. A 4.4L V8 engine providing 469 horsepower with 439 lb-ft torque, and six-speed automatic transmission drives the 2008 STS-V. The sedan offers a host of safety elements such as automated Intellibeam headlamps; airbags at front and side; blind spot alert; lane departure warning, and rear obstacle detection. An optional feature is the StabiliTrak stability control system. The vehicle is a comfort to ride in with details such as hand-wrapped leather interior surfaces matched with wood and aluminum fittings; suede seat fillings; head-up display of driving information, and rear climate system controls. Its exterior is customized with a dominant front grille; chrome door handles; polished aluminum exhaust tips; rocker panel moldings; small spoiler, and prominent bumper."
