The Chrysler Pacifica is Chrysler's first SUV and is labelled by the company as a sports tourer. The Pacifica is a crossover SUV that lands in the mid-size vehicle category, andt is created on its very own platform and doesn't share it with any of the Chrysler minivans, as is often interpreted. It is an all-wheel drive vehicle with an upscale interior and passenger flexibility. The SUV has a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds when outfitted with an appropriate hitch. It comes with a standard Autostick transaxle that allows the driver to switch between manual and automatic while driving. The Pacifica's exterior was restyled in 2007, which is quite visible in the headlights, however the fenders, grille, front fascia, hood and the 17 inch wheels were also part of the redesign. It won an award in 2006 for best pick frontal from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety as well as earning a five star crash test rating for the redesigned 2007 model."
