The standard configuration of today's Dodge Magnum sports a solid engine configuration. The engine is a 2.7 Liter, V-6, DOHC, 24-Valve MPI engine with multipoint fuel injection and is capable of generating 190 horsepower, and 190 lb-ft of torque. Currently sold in four different kinds of trims; the Magnum is available in the SE, SXT, R/T, and the SRT8. Designed by Ralph Gilles and Thomas Freeman, it was created to replace the Dodge Miranda and to compete against like the Mazda6, the Honda Accord, the Buick Lucerne and the Nissan Maxima.
The Magnum is available in all wheel drive, but typically the feature is optional and the SE models come built with rear wheel drive. The vehicle is relatively fast, capable of surpassing 25 miles in roughly 14 seconds.
