The first generation of Dodge Nitros are being sold in a number of different body colors. The Nitro is available in red, black, white, orange, blue, silver, and khaki thereby making it easy for the SUV to appeal to anyone's taste. Currently assembled in Ohio, it is being manufactured by the DiamlerChrysler Corporation and is engineered as a spacious vehicle. The front of the Nitro offers 56 inches of hip room, 40 inches of head room, and 57 inches of shoulder room. Meanwhile, the rear seats offer similar freedom: shoulder room in the rear of the vehicle is 56 inches, head room is 40 inches, leg room is 38 inches, and hip room in the rear of the vehicle is 47 inches.
The transmission in the Nitro has overdrive capabilities; the engine sports six cylinders, and is capable of generating 210 horsepower and 235 ft-lbs of torque.
