There are a number of differences between the Dodge Ram 2500 ST Regular Cab and the Ram 2500 Power Wagon with a regular cab. While the standard body paint remains the same in both trucks, the Power Wagon has a wheel width of 285 mm and the ST has a wheel width of 245 mm. The ground clearance on the Power Wagon is nearly a foot more than the ST; and the Power Wagon is capable of towing more weight. Both trucks maintain the same engine configuration: a 5.7 V-8 with an OHV valvetrain, and are sold with manual transmissions with overdrive features, and when purchased new, have a warranty of 36000 miles or 36 months.
All of the Ram 2500s come with specific safety features and devices. Multistage driver and passenger airbags are installed in the truck and standard and curtain side airbags are optional. They also come with fortified front crumple zones in the event that an impact must be absorbed.
