In the 1960's, a Ford car known as the Ford GT40 was a powerful racing car with a hot design and a winning attitude. For Ford's centennial year, the company released the Ford GT, a "Living Legend" from out of the history books of the design. The Ford GT is a powerhouse of a car, with a two seat configuration and an engine that puts performance first.
The Ford GT began as a concept car designed as the Ford centennial year approached, and the car's wonderful feedback from the 2002 auto show circuit helped to persuade the company to produce the car in limited quantities, the first production versions appearing in 2003. It was released in the 2005 model year and sold in very small numbers through the 2007 model year to those lucky few who could afford this supercharged beauty.
