Since1935, a version of the suburban has been in production under one of the many GM brand names. In 2000 GMC brought out a new version and called it the Yukon XL 1500. This half-ton vehicle was the progeny of a long line of suburban GM models. The engine has been a V8.with increasing HP since it was first put into production, and the transmission was first brought out in either a 3 or 4 speed automatic or manual transmission.
The models of this car or those that are related to it via the GM family make for an endless variety of vehicles. As an example, GMC has the Yukon, Chevy has the suburban and Cadillac the Escalade. All three vehicles are similar in their design and properties.
