Produced by Nissan's Infiniti, the Infiniti FX35 is a mid size luxury crossover sport utility vehicle. This vehicle is a four door format and has been in production since the 2003 model year. The FX35 as well as the more powerful FX45 replaced the Infiniti QX4 and is actually larger than that vehicle. The FX35 has some big competition in this vehicle class and is compared to the Volvo XC90 as well as the Porsche Cayenne, and was actually released at the same time as both vehicles.
Infiniti has built the FX35 on the Nissan FM platform, which it shares with the Nissan 350Z. It is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 that provides 280 horsepower, which is combined with a five speed automatic transmission. The fuel capacity is 23.8 US gallons. Many like the vehicle because it combines sports car performance with the perks of an SUV, though the style of the rear limits cargo space a bit.
