Known as the Nissan Skyline outside of the United States, the Infiniti G35 is an entry-level luxury car, also called a compact executive car. The vehicle has been on the market since the 2003 model year, with the second generation being offered starting with the 2007 model year. Infiniti, a division of Nissan, replaced the G20 with the G35 in its lineup. The vehicle has won several awards including North American Car of the Year award and was also listed on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 2003 as well as 2004.
The Infiniti G35 has been powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine from the beginning, with horsepower increasing continuously. The vehicle started out offering a 260 horsepower engine, and the second generation offers substantially more at 306 horsepower. The 3.5 liter engine has been coupled with either a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission, allowing consumers to choose which type of transmission fits their lifestyle and preferences the best.
