The Isuzu Ascender is a modest SUV that offers extra storage and cargo space for the traditional family. With only two rows of seats, it is considered mid-sized and can only hold up to five people. It comes with a CD player, dual climate zones, and a second seat that can fold for added cargo space and is divided 35/65. StabiliTrak electronic stability control is a standard feature on all Ascenders. Antilock brakes, airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, and daytime running lights are the standard safety features, with optional side curtain airbags available.
The Isuzu Ascender features an inline 6-cylinder engine that creates 291 hp. It has a quiet ride and the 4-speed transmission responds quickly when the vehicle is accelerating. It comes in either a rear-wheel or four-wheel drive version. The four-wheel drive is an on-demand system with four separate modes, including automatic, 2-High, 4-High, and 4-Low. The SUV has rack-and-pinion steering and is built using body-on-frame construction.
