The Jeep Liberty has the traditional Jeep look with the spare tire mounted on the outside of the rear tailgate. It is available as a 4-wheel or rear-wheel drive SUV. The transmission is either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic, and it is powered by a 3.7-liter V-6 generating 235 ft/lbs of torque with 210 hp.
The interior of the Liberty has room to seat 5 people, and the seats are comfortable and support the passengers well. The rear bench seat splits 35/65 to increase the cargo space when needed. The standard wheels are 16-inches in diameter, with 17-inch wheels on the Limited model. A towing addition will increase the towing capacity to up to 5,000 pounds. Standard safety features on the Liberty include antilock brakes and electronic stability control. Side curtain airbags are also available. The SUV steers and handles well on almost all terrains, and the SUV comes with a CD player.
