The Kia Optima is sold with two trim levels: the LX and the EX. Both the LX and the EX, as a standard, have 16 inch tires, but 17 inch tires are optional. A chrome front grille is standard on both, but the black out front grille is optional. Also standard are halogen headlights, dual powered heated mirrors, poor locks, rear center armrests, and a center console. Cloth seat trim, adjustable headrests in the front and rear of the vehicle, and a 60/40 split folding seat also come standard.
Dual front airbags, dual front mounted side airbags, and full-length curtain side airbags, are the standard safety features. The current models have rack-and-pinion steering, electronic stability control, brake assist, traction control, and tire pressure monitoring. The Optima is offered with the .4 liter I-4 that has a 4 cylinder motor with aluminium heads and aluminum blocks or the 2.7 liter V-6 engine.
