Introduced in 2004 as a high performance sports car that can reach a maximum of 196 mph on long drives, the Lamborghini Gallardo is also ideal for daily use with its splendid handling of city roads. The Gallardo is equipped with a mid-rear mounted 5.0L V10 engine providing 520 horsepower by employing lower ratio gears on an independent double wishbone suspension system. There is a choice of six-speed manual transmission for more control, or faster gear changes with a six-speed electro-hydraulic controlled auto-clutch via paddles on the back of the steering wheel. Even in low-speed traffic, the Gallardo offers advantageous traction, braking, and handling, owing to an optimal weight distribution of 42 per-cent in front and 58 per-cent in the rear. Together with a rear-biased all-wheel drive, it is a more functional choice over other sports cars, especially during bad weather. The vehicle is offered in orange or red leather interior with an aluminum body of green, blue, grey, red or black. The two-door, two-seat Lamborghini Gallardo coupe is also available as a Superleggera or Spyder convertible."
