The Mazda Mazda3, also commonly referred to as the Alexa, is a compact vehicle first revealed in 2004 and meant to be a replacement for the Protege. Ranked third in sales in regions of Canada, the Mazda3 has seating for five passengers. The vehicle currently offered in the United Kingdom has several trim levels that include the S, the TS, the TS2 and the Sport while other regions of the world offer trim levels that include the i sport, i touring, the s sport and the s touring.
Beneath the hood of the Mazda3 one will find an inline four cylinder engine and a five speed transmission. It can achieve acceleration with fairly quick timing: in less than 8 seconds the vehicle can reach 60 mph. Meanwhile, the fuel efficiency of the Mazda3 is quite good, with a four-cylinder engine the vehicle gets 28 mpg in suburban areas.
