The Mercury Sable was discontinued in 2005, but returns in the 2008 model year with a bang. The newly redesigned sedan takes over from the Mercury Montego, offering a spacious interior, a high and comfortable ride, and a great sense of style in a full-size vehicle. An improved 263hp V6 engine offers good power and acceleration, while additional insulation makes for a quiet ride. The Sable was a moderate success from its release in 1986 until 2005; however, it was largely overshadowed by its twin, the Ford Taurus.
