The Mitsubishi Raider is a pickup truck that was released for sale in the United States in 2005 for the 2006 model year. It was created to fill the gap left in the Mitsubishi line by the retirement of the Mighty Max, which sold until 1996. The Raider is manufactured in America by DaimlerChrysler in Michigan. The truck is based on the Dodge Dakota, and the name was recycled from the Dodge Raider SUV, which was a renamed Mitsubishi Montero, retired in 1990. While the truck was designed to fill a gap in the product line, sales of the truck have been uninspiring. The truck comes with options like a two or four door configuration and 4-speed automatic, 5-speed automatic, or 6-speed manual transmissions. The Mitsubishi Street Raider is a concept vehicle based off of the Raider, and comes with additional features like custom 22' wheels and custom dual exhaust."
