The Saab division of General Motors has been manufacturing the Saab 9-3 since 1999 and the vehicle was first revealed in 1998. Intended to replace the Saab 9000, the 9-3 is offered in three different and unique trim levels including the 9-3 Vector, Arc and, until the year 2003, the third trim level was known as the Linear. Now, the trim level of the Linear has been changed to the Aero. The Aero is the base level trim of the vehicle, which has an engine that is capable of generating 175 horsepower. The other trim levels are capable of producing a bit more horsepower, at 210 horsepower respectively.
The 9-3 offers a fuel efficiency rate of 22 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway. The vehicle is capable of achieving sixty miles per hour in less than seven seconds time.
