The Saturn ION, a vehicle that is no longer being manufactured, was formerly assembled in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The ION is available as a four door and it offers access in the rear via rear opening suicide doors. The ION is set to be replaced with the Astra, but it was first made available in 2003. The fuel economy offered varies depending upon the engine; those engines that generate 145 horsepower offer a fuel efficiency of 25 miles per gallon; those engines that generate 175 horsepower get around 26 miles per gallon, and the engines offered with the Red Line model gets around 20 miles per gallon.
The ION four door coupe has a seating capacity of four while the four door sedan offers enough room for five passengers. All of the trim levels come with similar body dimensions: the vehicle is 185 inches in length; 67 inches wide; and 57 inches in height.
