In 2008 Scion brought back their popular xB vehicle, and made it a little better than past models. The length of the vehicle was increased by a foot, providing 29.1 cubic feet of storage space. When the 60/40 split rear seat is folded, the storage capacity is increased even more to accommodate longer cargo. The front seats fully recline, and there is a tray under the rear seats for storing small items. The xB seats five passengers comfortably. The standard model comes with a jack for MP3 players, powered windows, doors, steering, and mirrors, steering-wheel audio controls, a 6-speaker Pioneer stereo system, trip computer and remote keyless entry.
The engine in the xB is a 2.4-liter I-4 which generates 162 lb-ft of torque and 158 hp. This engine is powered by a 5-speed manual transmission with a 4-speed automatic available. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, traction control and anti-lock brakes.
