The Subaru Forester 2.5 X SUV features a horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine that has 2.5-liters and can create 173 hp. The 2.5 XT Limited model comes with a turbocharged engine that creates 224 hp. Both the 2.5 X and the 2.5 XT Limited come with a 5-speed manual transmission standard, but the L.L. Bean Edition comes with a 4-speed automatic. The automatic is available on the other models as an option.
The Forester 2.5 X comes with a CD player, remote keyless entry, and powered windows and doors. Upgrading to the Premium Package included in the 2.5 XT Limited and L.L. Bean Edition brings leather heated seats, moon roof, power driver's seat, Sirius Satellite Radio, and automatic climate control. All models come with the standard safety features, which include electronic brake-force distribution on antilock brakes, front head restraints, and front and side-impact airbags. The drive system is an all-wheel drive system on all models.
