Driving the Grand Vitara reveals solid positive comments about the model, but nothing of an outstanding nature. The driving in city or highway was decent and off road was adequate, with the mileage rating of 19/24 city and highway. The model is compared to a small truck, due to its boxy lines. The performance was ok but not outstanding and head turning, and again the interior comforts were reasonable and pleasant, but again not flashy in any way.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara, introduced in 1999, is a long wheel based compact SUV. The Grand Vitara comes in either rear wheel drive or in a four-wheel drive configuration. Since its first production year the model has been changed twice and had a major redesign in 2006. Starting in 2006 the body style was a choice between a 3-door wagon and a 5-door wagon.
