The Suzuki Company started in 1909 as a manufacturer of looms to weave silk. From this beginning the Company went on to become a manufacturer of motorcycles and cars. In 2004, Suzuki and GM bought out the bankrupt Daewoo Company, and from this new partnership they introduced the Suzuki name. The Reno was introduced for the 2005 model year as a hatchback.
The Reno is a four-door hatchback with a 126 HP engine. The MPG rating is a healthy 22 for the city and 30 for the highway. The transmission is a choice between manual and automatic, and both seem to get similar gas mileage
The hatchback door lifts up, making loading the Suzuki very easy to do
The styling is somewhat sporty with a sloping hood and higher backend, which gives the overall appearance of sports-minded hatchback. The Reno is a good choice for commuting and economical performance.
