Car Crash Ratings

In addition to seeking out the most affordable vehicle, you also want to know about the safety features of the car you intend to buy. While it is always important to take the time to seek out car rebates, view car photos and videos and read car reviews, reading up on the safety features of a car is just as important. Remember that just because a vehicle is new and it has a sleek appearance, it does not mean that the car has a high safety rating. While you can certainly get some safety information from the car specifications, they are not the final word on a car's level of safety. Car specs reveal if the car has antilock brake systems, traction control, seat restraints, child seat anchorages and airbags, but they will not reveal crash test results or how the car rates in terms of safety when compared to other vehicles.
