2013 Chevrolet Impala Overview

The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size sedan and one of the longest running nameplates on the road. Production began in 1957 for the 1958 model year. Since then, the Impala has undergone a number of significant redesigns. It has even been discontinued two times in its history and was most recently re-introduced in 2000. Available are a range of V-6 engines and a V-8 option at the upper end.

The 2013 Impala is a midrange, four-door, full-size sedan that seats five comfortably and boasts a powerful engine. Pricing is moderate within its class and there are three trim levels available, including the LS, LT, and LTZ.

New for 2013

The 2013 Chevrolet Impala sees a few updates and added features inside and out:

  • A Luxury Edition Package is now standard with the LTZ trim. It includes heated front leather seats, a six-way power adjustable passenger seat, an upgraded sound system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated side mirrors, and satellite radio
  • These features are now optional with the LT trim


The full-size, four-door Chevrolet Impala is available in a number of colors and finishes. The nondescript exterior features a sharp front and aerodynamic profile. Sixteen-inch wheels come standard and 17- or 18-inch wheels are available. A power sunroof and fog lights are optional.

Interior & Cargo

The 2013 Chevrolet Impala seats five people comfortably with plenty of room in the front and back. There are a number of storage areas throughout the vehicle. OnStar comes standard in all 2013 models. Cloth seats are standard and leather is optional. On the base LT trim, the optional Luxury Edition Package brings heated front leather seats, a six-way power adjustable passenger seat, an upgraded sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated side mirrors, and satellite radio. These features are standard on the LTZ trim.


The 2013 Impala has a full complement of airbags, including front seat side-impact airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.
