Buyer's Guide

GMC

Compared to its Chevrolet siblings, the GMC brand commands more respect among some buyers, and is known for its more premium interiors on higher trims. With vehicles like the compactTerrain crossover, popular Sierra trucks, and family-friendly Acadia three-row crossover, GMC offers plenty of SUV and truck options for consumers who want a slightly more upscale experience compared to similar Chevrolets.

Least Expensive: The company's entry-level SUV, the Terrain starts at just over $25,000 and is also the brand's second most popular vehicle, behind the Sierra pickup truck.

Most Capable and Expensive: With dozens of options, multiple trims, and a host of upgrades, the Sierra 3500 HD in the Denali trim is capable and can be optioned to just under $70,000.

Popular: Although the Terrain and Acadia are among the brand's most popular vehicles, neither can compete with the Sierra pickup truck, which sells better than the combined sales of those two crossovers.
